Running Order
- The Barrel squat will be the first event, followed by the Log Incline Press, the Car Deadlift and then Hammer Hold.
- Athletes are allowed to compete in either all the events, or car deadlift only if they Choose.
- Registrations closing date: 16th of May 2023
- Limited to 70 athletes on a first come first serve basis
Scoring
- The finale score for an athlete is the sum of the points obtained on each event.
- The points are awarded as such:
- Barrel Squat: for each valid rep = 1 point
- Log Bench: for each valid rep = 1 point
- Car Deadlift: for each completed & valid rep = 3 points
- Hammer Hold: for each block of 5s held = 1 point
- Ie: a holding time of 28.41sec gives 5 points
- Athletes will get a “0” score even if they “Zero” some of the lifts, no disqualification for events with 0 points.
- The highest total in each division will be declared the winner.
- If two totals are the same in any division, the athlete with the longest Hammer Hold wins.
Rankings & Cash Prize
- There will be three separate rankings:
1- Ranking per Category
Athletes will get a raking within their own categories
2- Jeep Deadlift Ranking
The Jeep Deadlift event will have its own overall ranking regrouping all men, and another one for women. The first male & female athletes will both receive $100 cashprize
3- Overall Ranking
The overall ranking will regroup all men, and all women. The first male & female athletes will both receive $100 cashprize
Weight Class
- Athletes must weigh-in under their weight class as it is listed.
- For example: if you weigh in 90.0kg you will be listed as under 105kg. If you weigh in as 89.9kg you will be listed as under 90kg.
- Every competitor, no matter which class (even opens) must weigh in.
- Women’s: u52.5kg, u62.5kg, u72.5kg, u82.5kg, Open
- Mens: u70kg, u80kg, u90kg, u105kg, Open
Weigh-in
- Weigh-in starts at 12pm and is to be completed by 12.30pm.
- Athletes showing up late to the weigh in will have 1 point of penalty deducted from their total for every 15min they are late. ie: an athlete reaching at 1:08pm will have 3 points of penalty deducted from his/her final score.
Attire
The event T-shirt provided is to be worn at all times – exceptions might be made for grip shirts on the Barrel Squat and Log Incline Press events
Regular sports attire and covered shoes are to be worn in the premises.
The Barrel Squat
- Athletes have 60seconds to complete as many reps as possible on the Barrel Squat
- Only one attempt per athlete
- Failure to re-rack the bar gives 1 point of penalty, deducted from the overall score – this does not apply if failure happens during the first rep.
- Depth will be determined by judges
- An Axle bar (50mm diameter) will be used, NOT a standard barbell. This will minimize whip.
- Equipment allowed: knee sleeves OR knee wraps, 1 belt (belt + thin underbelt allowed), squat suit, powerlifting compression underwear, wrist wraps, mouthpiece.
- The weight of the implement will be as follow:

The Log Incline Press
- Athletes have 60seconds to complete as many reps as possible on the Log Incline Press
- Bench inclination will be 30 degrees, log is 9″ in diameter
- Elbows must be locked after each rep
- The athlete’s shoulders and glutes need to remain in contact with the bench at all times, feet need to be on the floor. If these conditions are not met, the rep will not be valid
- The log needs to be lowered until it touches the chest of the athlete
- Start from safety pin
- Equipment allowed: wrist wraps, elbow sleeves OR elbow wraps, belt
- Bench shirt/slingshot NOT allowed.
- The weight of the implement will be as follow:

The Car Deadlift
- Athletes have 60seconds to complete as many reps as possible on the car deadlifts
- Women will lift stacked tyres (estimated weight = half a ton)
- Men will lift a Jeep Wrangler (estimated weight = 2 tons)
- Athletes have to lock knees, hips and back at the top of the movement for the rep to be validated
- The frame needs to be back on the floor between each reach.
- No bouncing allowed.
- Equipment allowed: knee sleeves OR knee wraps, straps, deadlift suit, 1 belt (belt + thin underbelt allowed), powerlifting compression underwear, wrist wraps, mouthpiece.
- Fingers must stay below the handles at all times.
The Hammer Hold
- Athletes must maintain stillness with the hammer between shoulder and eye level with their arms completely locked out.
- Athletes must keep their heads, upper backs, and hips in contact with a wooden post at all times.
- Time stops as soon as any of the condition above is not respected
- Women use a 7kg hammer
- Men use a 20kg hammer
